Information parcel deliveries from December 2019 for the Netherlands
The delivery to your home address (or another address where you want to receive delivery) is via PostNL
executed. All online payment options are available. You can choose from December 24, 2019
for payment via ideal, direct debit, credit card or via a payment link by e-mail. It’s no longer possible
to be paid in cash.
If your package cannot be delivered, your shipment will – after one delivery attempt – be sent to a
collection office, where you can collect the shipment within 7 days.
You can also opt for delivery to a PostNL collection point. All online payment options are
available. From December 24, 2019 you can choose to pay via ideal, direct debit, credit card or
a payment link by email. Your shipment will remain available at the collection point for 7 days, after which it will be
returned. It is easy to select a collection point, based on your zip code
always a PostNL point near you.

Can I pay for my shipment upon delivery?
From December 24, 2019 it is no longer possible to pay for a shipment upon delivery.
How can I select a collection point?
In the screen with shipping information, click on ‘Select a collection point’. Then you give
enter your zip code and you will get an overview of the nearest collection points. If you have a collection point
your shipment will be sent to that collection point.
Can I save a collection point in my address book?
It is simply possible to save the collection point in the address book.
Will my package be delivered to the neighbours?
Yes, this is allowed.
Is a signature for receipt still required?
PostNL delivers packages without requesting a signature. The reliability of a placed
signature as proof of delivery is becoming less and less.
How often is my delivery offered to my home or other delivery address?
In the Netherlands, your delivery will be forwarded to a collection point after one delivery attempt.
How long will my parcel be available at the collection point?
Your package will remain at a collection point for 7 days. Your package will be returned after 7 days.
How can I track my package?
You will receive an email when your shipment has been handed over to the carrier. With the link
with the Track&Trace information you can always see the status of your package.
For deliveries in the Netherlands, we recommend that you install the PostNL App on your smartphone
you can continue to track your package. If you see the pre-announcement appear in your App, you can enter the Netherlands
choose in the App whether you want to have the package sent to a collection point (in case it is not at home
comes out). You can also see the delivery time of your package in the App.
Will anything change in the lead times of the delivery?
In the Netherlands you can normally expect delivery within one to two working days.
